The stock market is never wrong.
(That short sentence has already triggered a few people.)
The stock market is also, never right.
People who tell you "the stock market is always right" are just spouting something they heard that they thought sounded smart.
As a trader, it's really unhelpful to think of the stock market in terms of it being "right" or "wrong".
The stock market just "is". Kinda like the weather just "is".
Is the weather "wrong" if it's raining, when you thought it was going to be sunny?
Is the weather “right” when it’s sunny like you predicted?
Of course not. It's only ever our expectations and predictions about the weather that are right or wrong. And so it is with the markets.
